Find both at octopus.energy → Account → Personal details → API access. Your key is kept only in this browser and is sent only to Octopus - this site has no server that could see it. Untick “Remember” on a shared device and it's forgotten when you close the tab.

How this is judged: each half hour of the session is compared with the average for the same half hour on your last 10 weekdays (skipping bank holidays and days with sessions entered here) or, for weekend and bank-holiday sessions, your last 4 weekend days. Every half hour below usual = success, some = partial, none = failed - matching the results Octopus reports. Octopus's own result is shown alongside wherever it's available; this page's check is an estimate from your meter data. Today's targets use Home Mini readings, which arrive about a minute late.
